Jay's Birthday weekend!! Kace and Mia's friend Rachel join the whole crew. No Imogene yet, she's close. The full Strawberry moon on Friday night encouraged a moonlit hike to the moon tower, complete with a pyramid. Neither picture is perfect but they are both wonderful! Saturday is Jay's bday. Shelves are up in the bathroom (they were put up last weekend) they are perfect and keep the shower mucho beuño! An afternoon rainshower brings the Bears to find cover, Ember requested shelter at the Roses. The bottle we painted the inside of was great at first, but the paint was too thin, we'll try again next time. Inga has to leave in the afternoon, in the rain, to get Mia and Rachel to cheer camp. We're all only mildly anxious, it's her first drive up in the Grand Cheroke and first time on Poland Road. No problem, mon! Archer has his first sunset from the patio and is christened with the Rose salute "See ya tomorrow Big Fella!" For Jays bday celebration we have Bumpy cake and a cabin dance party. A late night at the flat reveals the true story of the first night the Bears were introduced to the Roses with Seven straight plays of Journey Don't Stop Believing. After much (like too much) debate on how this was impossible we discovered it was the weekend after Wubbs' services. We may have played it more than seven times!!! Sound travels up pretty easily. The boys sand and stain the picnic table. Once the lacquer dries we'll do another coat. Change the first flushes, a little water hits Brian, then he sees a mouse arm. Thank goodness we're on our way out! Book 5: Lacquer & Lace.
